St. Paul, other big districts cancel Tuesday classes because of cold weather
Tuesday’s frigid forecast has St. Paul and several other area school districts calling off classes.
The National Weather Service expects wind chills to reach 32 below zero when buses would have been picking up students Tuesday morning.
Others announcing closures as of early Monday evening include the Minneapolis, Anoka-Hennepin, Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan, Mounds View, North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale, Roseville, Spring Lake Park, Forest Lake and Inver Grove Heights public school districts.
The Stillwater district said on its website that it plans to hold classes Tuesday as long as forecasted wind chills don’t reach 36 below.
