Packed with care: Suffolk Construction, Massport join USO effort for troops
Dozens of volunteers from Suffolk Construction, the USO, and Massport on Tuesday pitched in and prepared 1,040 care packages containing snacks and other goodies for American troops who will be deployed and away from their homes and families during the upcoming holiday season.
Leaders and volunteers from each organization said they were honored to be able to show gratitude and spread holiday cheer to the men and women defending the United States.
According to the USO, the care packages will be delivered to US service members deployed around the world, as far away as East Africa, by the end of the month.
