BMW X1 sales are up 60.4% in September.

9,661 new cars found a buyer in Greece in September, a harsh -15.3% year-on-year loss. Thanks to a good start of the year the year-to-date tally remains in positive however at +3.4% to 108,035 units. Toyota (+9.5%) goes against the grain to continue dominating the market at 17.4% share, more than double the #2, a freefalling Peugeot (-27.8%). Suzuki (-3.2%) and BMW (-9.8%) manage to lose less ground than the market and rank #3 and #4 respectively. Hyundai (-28.6%) and Opel (-32.7%) are hit hard. Dacia (+23.5%) scores the biggest gain in the Top 13 and is up 7 spots on August to #8 vs. #18 year-to-date. Jeep (+82.7%) and MG (+36.3%) shine below.

Over in the models charts, the Toyota Yaris Cross (+76.6%) signs its third win in the past four months and 4th win of the year with a dominant 5.6% share. Like last month and year-to-date, the Toyota Yaris (-29.7%) ranks at #2 despite a daunting year-on-year fall. The performance of the month is delivered by the BMW X1 (+60.4%) surging 7 spots on August to #3 vs. #10 year-to-date. This is the X1’s best ranking since hitting #2 last December. The next 6 models all swim upstream with year-on-year upticks. The Renault Clio (+62.7%), Peugeot 2008 (+54.6%) and Dacia Sandero (+53.9%) are the most dynamic above the Opel Corsa (+14.7%), Toyota C-HR (+9.5%) and Suzuki Vitara (+8.9%). The Tesla Model 3 (+154.4%) is up to #11, its best ranking so far this year.
