What would your top priorities be if elected? My vision for Rosemount is the same as it was 8 years ago, provide residents with a high-quality of life with the desired amenities, commercial options and a safe environment. Public Safety is always the top priority. Continued investments in police and fire, ensuring we have safe water, and ongoing focus on our roadways and intersections. Preserving our home town feel while continuing to experience economic development growth. I am pro-business and believe we have tremendous assets in both land and people. We need to be strategic and think through the impacts and ensure plans for infrastructure is in place: roads, intersections, public safety in all forms, water and power resources.
What qualifies you to hold this position? I am currently serving my second term on City Council. In the past eight years, we have accomplishment many things: continuous investment in public safety, Fortune 500 companies are investing in Rosemount, new schools are being built to support our growing population and experiencing record economic development growth. This progress is a result of a diligent planning, a strong leadership team at the city and a council who is proactive and focused on providing our residents a high-quality of life, while wisely spending their tax dollars. My experience s a council member, professional and leader will continue to be an asset for Rosemount.
What do you think is the primary role of government? The primary role of city government is to provide its residents with key services, a safe environment, while ensuring policies and laws are followed. Key services include water, sewer, and street maintenance. Public safety is critical for ensuring a community thrives in the form of police, fire and emergency medical services. Offering residents additional amenities such as a public library, variety of recreational activities and a thriving economic development area make the community a more desirable place to live.
How do you work to understand, and then learn from, opinions that differ from your own and people who disagree with you? You have to listen and ask questions to clearly understanding their point of view. Ongoing engagement with residents is key to ensure transparency.

What would your top priorities be if elected? If elected to Rosemount City Council, my top priorities will be: 1. **Public Safety**: Ensuring Rosemount remains a safe community by supporting our law enforcement and enhancing community safety programs to protect both residents and businesses. 2. **Responsible Planning**: Advocating for balanced growth that respects our city’s character while preparing for the future. This includes smart development that addresses infrastructure needs and preserves green spaces. 3. **Supporting Small Businesses**: Promoting a thriving local economy by supporting small businesses, which are the backbone of our community. I will work to reduce barriers and foster opportunities for their success. 4. **Fiscal Responsibility**: Ensuring transparent, efficient use of taxpayer dollars by closely overseeing city budgets and making decisions that benefit the community while avoiding unnecessary financial burdens. These priorities reflect my commitment to making Rosemount a safe, prosperous, and well-planned community for all.
What qualifies you to hold this position? I believe my integrity, problem-solving skills, and dedication to the community make me a strong candidate for office. As a long-time resident of Rosemount and a parent, I am deeply invested in the well-being and future of our city. In my professional role as a Technical Alliance Consultant at Oracle, I’ve developed strong skills in collaboration, strategic thinking, and working with diverse teams to deliver successful outcomes. I approach challenges with a results-driven mindset, always looking for practical solutions. I am also committed to transparency and accountability, ensuring that residents are informed and involved in city decisions. My ability to listen to different perspectives and make thoughtful, balanced decisions will help me effectively represent the people of Rosemount and promote the best interests of our community.
What do you think is the primary role of government? I believe the primary role of government is to serve the people by ensuring their safety, well-being, and opportunity to thrive. Government should provide essential services such as public safety, infrastructure, and education, while promoting economic growth and responsible development. It must also protect the rights and freedoms of individuals, fostering a fair and just society. Additionally, government should operate with transparency and accountability, ensuring that taxpayer dollars are used wisely and that decisions are made in the best interests of the community. Above all, government should listen to the people it represents, acting as a responsive and effective steward of public resources and trust. In Rosemount, this means creating a safe, vibrant community that balances growth with the preservation of our city’s unique character.
How do you work to understand, and then learn from, opinions that differ from your own and people who disagree with you? I believe that listening to different perspectives is crucial for effective leadership. To understand and learn from opinions that differ from my own, I approach every conversation with an open mind and a willingness to listen without judgment. I actively seek out feedback from diverse groups in the community, attend public forums, and engage in one-on-one discussions to hear a wide range of viewpoints. When disagreements arise, I focus on finding common ground and understanding the underlying concerns. I believe respectful dialogue fosters better solutions, and I’m committed to continuous learning and adapting based on the needs and ideas of others. By considering all perspectives, I can make informed, balanced decisions that reflect the best interests of the entire community, not just those who share my views. Ultimately, my goal is to represent everyone in Rosemount, ensuring that every voice is heard.
