Cyprus September 2024: Kia Stonic leads, MG 4 inside Top 5

The MG 4 is estimated to rank #4 in Cyprus in September.

According to data shared with us by our local partners SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT, the Cyprus new car market sinks -12% year-on-year in September to 1,341 units, yet thanks to a solid start of the year the YTD tally remains in positive at +6.3% to 12,303. Kia (-16.5%) stays in the lead of the brands charts but sees its share fall from 26.8% last month to 16.3%. Volkswagen (+33.9%) continues to sport very satisfying results at 12.1% share vs. 11% year-to-date. Toyota (-37.3%) is in deep trouble but stays #3 ahead of BMW (+6.3%) and Hyundai (-22.7%) Excellent scores from MG (+316.7%), Jeep (+29.1%) and Audi (+20.9%) in the remainder of the Top 10.

Model-wise, the Kia Stonic (+172.4%) stays on top ahead of the VW T-Roc (+57.8%) while the year-ago leader, the Kia Sportage (-33.3%) falls heavily. The MG 4 is estimated to rank #4 this month as it cracks the year-to-date Top 30, landing directly at #20. The VW T-Cross (+272.7%) soars 7 spots on last month to #5 and the last month’s leader, the Kia Picanto (+42.9%), drops to #6.
