Patriots rule out running back Rhamondre Stevenson vs. Texans

FOXBORO — The Patriots will be without running back Rhamondre Stevenson in rookie quarterback Drake Maye’s first career start.

Stevenson was ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Texans with a foot injury. Antonio Gibson is in line to start in Stevenson’s place with JaMycal Hasty serving as a backup.

Head coach Jerod Mayo said the team will figure out who to elevate from the practice squad to serve as a third option between Kevin Harris and rookie Terrell Jennings.
