Anthony Edwards, Chris Finch headline Timberwolves receiving praise in annual NBA GM preseason poll

NBA.com released its annual preseason general manager poll, in which decision makers from all 30 teams are asked a slew of basketball questions ahead of the next campaign.

Nearly every stone is unturned, and it’s an interesting dive into what the current sentiment is around the Association regarding certain teams and players. It’s no surprise the general consensus is the Timberwolves will be a problem with which other teams will have to contend. Fresh off a Western Conference finals appearance, Minnesota was tabbed to again finish second in the West, behind only an Oklahoma City team that was the No. 1 seed in the spring and loaded up on key additions via trades and signings this offseason.

Wolves star Anthony Edwards was named the NBA’s best shooting guard (Luka Doncic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander were deemed to be point guards), and he was far from the only Minnesota player mentioned in the lengthy survey.

Here’s a look at the many categories to include Timberwolves’ connections in the voting results (percentage of the vote received included in parenthesis — one vote equals roughly 3%):
