2023 Convention Center payroll: Your Tax Dollars at Work
Below is the 2023 4th Quarter payroll for the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority, the latest release in the Herald’s “Your Tax Dollars at Work” rolling report.
Total pay for the 435 employees at the Convention Center Authority comes in at $28.3 million, topped by former Executive Director David Gibbons’ $264,617 salary.
The average salary for all employees, part-time and full-time, was $65,000. A total of 281 employees had salaries less than the average while 74 employees took home six-figure salaries, according to the data.
Gibbons parted ways with the state’s Convention Center Authority on Dec. 1 after nearly a decade at the helm of the MCCA. He earned $316,000 in 2022, according to state payroll data.
