Patriots sign free-agent outside linebacker Oshane Ximines
After spending just one pick in the 2024 NFL Draft on defense, the Patriots boosted the unit Tuesday afternoon.
The Patriots signed free-agent outside linebacker Oshane Ximines, the team announced.

Ximines, a 2019 third-round pick out of Old Dominion, played under Patriots outside linebackers coach Drew Wilkins on the Giants in 2022 and 2023. He has 71 tackles, 6.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, nine tackles for loss and 24 QB hits in 48 games with nine starts over five seasons.
Ximines, 27, joins William Bradley-King, Keion White, Deatrich Wise Jr., Anfernee Jennings, Matthew Judon and Joshua Uche among edge defenders on the Patriots’ roster. He’s also experienced on special teams.
