BASEBALL

In a non league contest, Joe Rogan earned the win in relief pitching for three scoreless innings while Colin Ducie had two RBI as Plymouth South rallied from a 6-0 deficit to defeat Canton, 7-6. … Sam Keene pitched 4 frames while allowing one hit and striking out and Offensively as Jackson Richard, Chris Mondesir, Tommy O’Donnell and Tristan Pecevich each had two hits and Jack Darcy drove in three runs as BC High (6-0) took down Wachusett 11-1. … Brayden Wright went 5-for-5 with five RBI as Middleboro defeated Weymouth 9-6. … Matt Taylor went the distance with two earned runs and eight strikeouts as Sandwich outlasted Scituate 5-3.

Luke Joyce pitched a complete game shutout with eight strikeouts to lead Braintree over Norwood, 4-0, in a Bay State Conference matchup.

Freshman Ryan Bowdridge tossed a complete-game three-hitter with nine strikeouts to lead Malden (4-2) to a 4-1 win over Greater Lawrence in the first round of the 10th annual Christie Serino Memorial Baseball Tournament.

Josh Bryant tossed a three-hit complete game shutout for Plymouth North (3-2) in a five-inning, 10-0 victory over  Dartmouth in the championship of the 16th annual Brad Martin Tournament.

Josean Rios had a big double in the fifth to break the game open as North Andover went on to defeat Chelmsford 9-1 in the Merrimack Valley Conference.

BOYS LACROSSE

Jake Vana led the offense with three goals and three assists as St. John’s Prep defeated Andover in a non league tilt, 15-10. … Ryan Woeller collected four tallies and an assist while Ryan O’Donnell added an hat trick with two helpers as Barnstbale won 10-7 over Silver Lake.

In the Northeastern Conference, Colin Driscoll (four goals, 1 assist) and seven other players scored as Masconomet topped Salem, 14-2.

In a non league contest, Jonathan Halpin and Hunter Grafton each netted four goals and one assist to lead Abington over Whitman Hanson 13-10.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Avery Cobban (five goals) and eight other players found the net for Sandwich as they defeated Pembroke, 15-2, in a non league Patriots Cup game.

Jane Goodwin notched four goals and Elizabeth Mozuch made nine saves in net as Arlington Catholic bested Malden, 10-8, in a non league matchup.

In the Commonwealth Conference, Kristine Nocco scored four goals to help Greater Lowell clinch the win over Northeast Tech, 11-6.

Kerri Finneran scored five goals as Central Catholic topped Leominster, 16-4, in a non league game.

In the Mayflower Conference, Peyton Mathison and Sofia Grasso each had a hat trick as South Shore Tech bested Bristol Aggie, 16-3.

SOFTBALL

In a non league game, Elsie Testa struck out 12 and allowed only two earned runs as Abington defeated Whitman-Hanson 16-2.

In the Merrimack Valley League, Mackenzie Yirrell scattered four hits and struck out nine for the complete game shutout win as Methuen blocked Billerica, 11-0.

Tessa Francis threw a seven inning no hitter and struck out 11 while offensively, Hailey Schmitt (one run, one RBI) and Ruby Calienes (two RBI) aided a Marblehead win over Boston Latin Academy, 11-1, in a non conference game.

VOLLEYBALL

Marco Gomez Cabo had 26 assists, nine kills, and four aces as Andover bested Boston Latin, 3-1, in a non league match.
