Red Sox lineups: Rafael Devers sits again, Bobby Dalbec starting at 3B

Rafael Devers is out of the lineup for the second straight night due to shoulder soreness, and newly called up Bobby Dalbec is scheduled to start at third base in his place.

Boston’s lineup will lean heavily right-handed against Los Angeles Angels lefty Reid Detmers, with Pablo Reyes batting second and playing second base, Tyler O’Neill batting third and playing right field, Dalbec batting fifth, Connor Wong batting seventh and Ceddanne Rafaela playing center field and batting eighth.

David Hamilton is also back in the lineup playing shortstop and usual starters Jarren Duran (leadoff, left field), Triston Casas (fourth, first base) and Masataka Yoshida (sixth, designated hitter) are in their normal spots.

Tanner Houck (2-0, 0.00) is scheduled to start for the Red Sox. The right-hander has gotten off to an excellent start, and according to the team he is the first pitcher in franchise history to throw six-plus scoreless innings with six-plus strikeouts in each of his first two outings of a season.
