Morocco March 2024: Market down again, Fiat (+63%), Kia (+24.6%) stand out

Fiat sales are up 63% year-on-year in March.

The Moroccan new light vehicle market endures a second consecutive month of decline in March at -5.8% to 12,831. This drop is solely due to passenger cars at -10.2% to 11,204 whereas commercial vehicles surge 42.2% to 1,627. The overall Q1 volume off -3.1% to 35,680. Dacia (-9.6%) regresses this month to 24.7% share vs. 28.4% so far this year whereas sister brand Renault (+2.4%) progresses to 17.2% vs. 15% over Q1. Hyundai (-46.6%) and Peugeot (-34%) both struggle mightily while Opel (+1.8%) concludes the Top 5 on a positive note. Fiat (+63%) delivers the largest gain in the Top 10 with Kia (+24.6%) also in tremendous shape. Below, Cupra (+890%), Suzuki (+106.5%) and Seat (+93.8%) impress.
