Meteorologists Matt and Danielle Noyes launch weather website amid ‘humdinger of a storm’
No better time for launching a weather website in New England, right?
As a nor’easter pounds the region with snow, rain, strong winds and flooding, meteorologist couple Matt and Danielle Noyes have rolled out the first version of their website called, “1ºOutside.”
Matt, who recently departed NBC10 Boston, had previously told the Herald about the couple’s plans for launching a weather website and app — as they jump into the digital-first weather market.
“Alright, here we go. The storm is moving in on top of us now,” Matt said in his Wednesday storm forecast discussion on the new website, a 12-minute detailed overview of the nor’easter.
“Danielle and I really look forward to bringing you great content over the days, weeks, months ahead,” Matt added. “For now of course, we’re very much focused on what’s coming up over the next 48 hours.”
He called the early April nor’easter “a humdinger of a storm.”
This first version of their website is a soft launch, as the complete build out with all of the features will take a couple more weeks. Their app will also be coming soon.
“Same dude, new handle! With @danielle_noyes & I digital-first, we’re rolling out @1DegreeOutside & soft-launched the initial website version,” Matt posted from 1DegreeOutside on social media.
“Plenty of build-out to come, nice clearinghouse for content now,” the account added. “Also, my personal handle is back to @mattnoyes.”
