Singapore February 2024: BYD overall best-seller

BYD sales are up 10-fold year-on-year in Singapore.

2,414 new cars found a buyer in Singapore in February, a solid 13% year-on-year growth. This leads to a year-to-date volume up 15.7% to 4,654. This month’s biggest story is without a doubt the very first pole position of BYD (+1045.9%) up 10-fold year-on-year to a breathtaking 17.6% share. This smashes its previous best of 11.7% established just last month. Like in China, BYD enjoys tremendous success in Singapore. It overtakes Toyota (-7.7%), Mercedes (+14.5%) and BMW (+27.1%), last month’s leader. However BYD remains 4th year-to-date while Toyota takes the lead despite a -6% year-on-year fall over the first two months of the year. Mercedes (+8.6%) follows then BMW (+57.2%). Other great performers include Porsche (+65.5%) up to #10, MG (+462.5%) and Skoda (+150%).
