Pakistan February 2024: Market up 68.5% on devastated year-ago result

The Toyota Corolla Cross is estimated to rank #10 in Pakistan this month.

Sales of locally produced light vehicles rally back up 68.5% on a particularly horrendous year-ago result to 9,709. The year-to-date tally is now up 21.7% to 20,245. This is according to local association PAMA. Note not all manufacturers present in Pakistan are members of PAMA such as Kia, Changan and MG notably and therefore don’t appear in these statistics. Note Chery has recently stopped sharing sales data as well. Suzuki (+399.5%) returns to its implacable domination with 50.3% share and is solely responsible for the market surge this month, with Sazgar Haval (+45.4%), Toyota (+12.9%), Honda (-7.3%) and Hyundai (-38.6%) unable to catch up. Over in the models lane, the Suzuki Alto (+520%) surges to 34.7% share vs. 31.4% so far this year. The Suzuki Swift (+889.6%) and Cultus (+344.4%) also skyrocket.

Previous month: Pakistan January 2024: Sazgar Haval H6 #3 in market down just -3%

One year ago: Pakistan February 2023: Hyundai (-13.5%) resists in market devastated by production issues (-73.4%)
