Red Sox lineup: Tyler O’Neill returns, Ceddanne Rafaela sticks with starters
After being sidelined several days with calf tightness, Tyler O’Neill is back in the Red Sox lineup for the club’s home date with the St. Louis Cardinals.
More interesting though is where he’s starting in the outfield and who will be lining up alongside him.
Having exclusively played left field through the first month of camp, O’Neill is scheduled to play right field Tuesday with Jarren Duran starting in left and rookie Ceddanne Rafaela in center. Rafaela is battling for the starting center field job and has seen significant playing time this spring, but his presence in what otherwise looks like a potential Opening Day lineup is notable and bodes well for his chances to make the team.
Brayan Bello will start for the Red Sox and is expected to be followed out of the bullpen by Tanner Houck and Brennan Bernardino.
