Photo Gallery: Winners of Winter Carnival ice and snow sculpting competitions

The winners of the St. Paul Winter Carnival Ice Carving Competition and the Minnesota State Snow Sculpting Contest were announced Sunday afternoon.

The ice carving contest was held over the weekend in Rice Park, where the completed sculptures will remain on display through the rest of the carnival — unless they melt in the unseasonably warm temperatures on tap for this week.

The snow sculpting competition began Friday at the Vulcan Snow Park at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.
