Arrest made in Coon Rapids triple homicide, police said

A man is in custody in connection with a triple homicide Friday afternoon in a Coon Rapids home, authorities announced Saturday morning.

The names of the suspect and victims have not yet been released.

The Anoka County sheriff’s office gave the following details in a news release:

About 12:24 p.m. Friday, dispatchers received a 911 call and an operator heard sounds of a disturbance in the background. Coon Rapids and Blaine police, along with the Anoka County sheriff’s office, responded to the residence near the 200 block of 94th Avenue Northwest in Coon Rapids.

When they arrived, law enforcement found two males and a female dead inside the home. Two young juveniles who were also inside the home at the time were not injured.

The homicides are under investigation by the Coon Rapids Police Department, Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, and Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.
