Girls basketball
Liza Minogue poured in 28 points, and Julia Ray added 12 points as Covenant Christian Academy (8-4) defeated Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall 45-31 in NEPSAC Independent Girls Conference action.

In a highly-anticipated Catholic Conference bout, Dan Antonellis and Cam Reed each netted a goal for Catholic Memorial (7-5-2) during a 2-1 victory over St. John’s (Shrewsbury).
In a Hockomock League contest, Huck McCready sniped his first varsity goal, aiding Canton (11-2-1) during a 7-0 shutout of Taunton.
Will Manchuso registered a hat trick, while Jay Carter (goal, two assists) and Cam Doull (three assists) also turned in great performances offensively for Concord-Carlisle (13-0-0) during a 5-1 romp of MVC/Dual County League foe Acton-Boxboro.
In the Patriot League, Jack Doherty buried a pair of goals, as Marshfield (10-2-1) pulled away late for a 6-3 victory over Whitman-Hanson. … Sean Foster scored two goals, both assisted by Nicholas Moulison and Marco Mottola, as Pingree downed Worcester Academy 5-1 in a NEPSAC matchup.
Luke Gauvin and Kien Stafford fired in three goals each, and Madden Huck made 11 saves as Somerset Berkley (8-1-1) bested Greater New Bedford 11-3 in the South Coast Conference.

Molly Whitter had a fantastic performance, recording a hat trick to go with three assists as Waltham (10-2-0) cruised to an 8-1 victory over MVC/Dual County League opponent Weston/Wayland.
Violet Lorusso scored a goal and supplied an assist as Shawsheen/Bedford (7-4) doubled up Beverly/Danvers 4-2.
