Movie awards chart 2024: Nominees and winners of Oscars, Golden Globes and more
Nominations will be announced Tuesday, Jan. 23, for the Academy Awards, the last major awards show for movies released in 2023.
The chart below shows nominations (x) and winners (W) in major categories for six groups:
Golden Globes (GG), Jan. 7; voted on by 300 film journalists from around the world. For best film and lead actors, awards are given in two categories — drama and comedy/musical.
Critics’ Choice (CC), Jan. 14; voted on by film critics who write for television, radio and online.
British Academy Film Awards (BAF), Feb. 18; voted on by film industry professionals.
Screen Actors Guild (SAG), Feb. 24; voted on by members of acting union.
Film Independent Spirit Awards (IND), Feb. 25; voted on by members of the nonprofit group Film Independent. Films produced for less than $30 million are eligible. Acting awards are not broken out by gender — one award is given for a lead performance, one for a supporting performance.
Academy Awards (OSC), March 10; voted on by film industry professionals in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
