BOYS HOCKEY

Owen Considine scored twice as Lynnfield topped Triton, 5-2, in the Cape Ann League.

Carter Meyer had a hat trick as Rivers (9-6-1) defeated BB&N 7-0 in the Independent School League.

Nolan Petrucelli and Matt Cerruti scored twice as Norwell edged Middleboro 6-5 in the South Shore League.

Terrell Peoples tallied two goals and an assist as North Andover defeated Boston Latin, 3-2, in nonleague action. … Leo Packard collected four tallies and two assists as Belmont cruised to an 8-3 win over Arlington Catholic.

In the Cape and Islands League, Charlie Bardelis netted the game-winner in overtime as Franklin edged Martha’s Vineyard 2-1.

In the Northeastern Conference, Greg Balchenkoff notched two goals and an assist as Swampscott won 4-3 over Peabody/Saugus.

Jake Cabral had three goals and an assist as Lowell Catholic defeated Nashoba, 4-2.

GIRLS HOCKEY

In a nonleague game, Grace Monahan turned away 32 shots to secure the shutout and lead Hanover to a 1-0 victory over Plymouth. … Gabi Locke and Kendall LaRivierre scored as HPNA edged Lincoln-Sudbury, 2-1.

Bella Freitas and Alyssa Norden scored as St. Mary’s (Lynn) edged Bishop Feehan 2-1 in the Catholic Central League.

Callie Burchill scored twice and Emma Walsh added a pair of assists as Braintree defeated Brookline 3-0 in the Bay State Conference.

In the Patriot League, senior captain Jules Connors had a goal and two assists as Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake edged Marshfield 4-3.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Jack Halik dropped 27 points as Nantucket (8-4) defeated New Heights 74-68 in nonleague play.

In the Independent School League, Yancarlos Cueto notched 20 points and six assists as St. George’s (11-4) took down Rivers, 69-63. …  Alex Wilkins scored 25 points as Brooks defeated St. Sebastian’s, 70-47.

In the South Coast Conference, Nate Reynolds collected 36 points and 15 rebounds as Bourne (11-0) rolled to a 76-40 victory over Seekonk.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

McKenna Morrison led a balanced attack with 12 points as Woburn (9-1) defeated Arlington 55-29 in the Middlesex League Liberty.

Chloe Azoff scored 31 points as Dennis-Yarmouth cruised to a 60-37 victory over Barnstable in nonleague play.
