Kia Prepping Super Bowl LVIII Commercial Featuring All-Electric EV9 SUV

Kia is getting ready for the big game in an electrifying way by returning to the Super Bowl showcasing its commitment to sustainable mobility with a 60-second commercial featuring the all-electric EV9 SUV. The upcoming Super Bowl LVIII will mark Kia’s 15th appearance in this highly anticipated annual television event, emphasizing the brand’s long-standing tradition of creative and award-winning campaigns.

The spotlight of this year’s commercial will be on the 2024 Kia EV9, positioned as the first mass-market three-row electric SUV in the U.S. Kia has already made the EV9 available for purchase, with limited inventory and nationwide availability across all 50 states. As the flagship model of Kia’s global Plan S strategy, the EV9 stands out by being the first Kia electric vehicle to support both Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) with its onboard power generator and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) capabilities. This innovation hints at the potential for bidirectional charging in properly equipped homes in the future.

Notably, the EV9 has received recognition as the North American Utility Vehicle of the Year by the North American Car of the Year (NACTOY) jury. This prestigious award marks the third occasion in five years that a Kia vehicle has been the top choice in its category, and the second win for a Kia electric vehicle. The accolade further solidifies Kia’s position in the electric vehicle market.

Looking ahead, Kia has plans to assemble the Kia EV9 in the United States later this year at its manufacturing facility in West Point, Georgia. This move aligns with the broader trend of automakers investing in domestic production, contributing to the growth of the electric vehicle industry in the country.
