GIRLS BASKETBALL

Boston Herald Dream Teamer Cecilia Kay had 15 points, nine rebounds and seven blocked shots as Bishop Fenwick (8-1) defeated Central Catholic 52-32 in a nonleague contest.

Shannon Welburn scored 15 points as Wellesley defeated Bridgewater-Raynham 36-29 in the A&A Metro Trojan Classic

Bella Owumi led the way with 16 points, while Sky Watson (13) and Charleigh Green (12) also reached double figures as St. Mary’s (10-3) defeated South Bronx Prep 57-38 at the Rose Classic.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Harrison Aligbe scored 23 points and teammate Luke Little added 12 as Winchendon defeated Tilton 62-57 at the BABC Prep Classic in Quincy. … Timmy Mulvey, Alex Wilkins and Riley Clarke all had 15 points as Brooks edged Busche Academy, 70-66.

Deshawn Faulk scored 27 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out four assists as Bridgewater-Raynham edged New Mission 56-54 in overtime in the Citi Teams Hoop Classic. … Jaeden Roberts had 27 points, nine rebounds and four steals, while Damani Williams added 13 points and 12 rebounds as Burke defeated Lynn English, 82-74.

Amir Lindsay scored 32 points, dished out nine assists and added seven rebounds as Rivers defeated Tabor 79-76 at the Andrew Lawson Invitational.

GYMNASTICS

Jadyn Molloy (33.55) and Emma Lyons (31.85) finished 1-2 in the All-Around as Hanover defeated Plymouth North/South, 131.3-116.25.

BASEBALL

Milton named Greg Lannon as its new head varsity baseball coach, replacing Brendan Morrissey, who recently accepted a similar position at Milton Academy. Lannon, a 2005 graduate of Milton High, spent the past five seasons as an assistant on the staff.

Morrissey spent five seasons as head coach at Milton and guided the Wildcats to back-to-back state titles before stepping down in November.

Over in Arlington, Kyle Hood has been named the new varsity baseball coach. A graduate of Arlington High, Hood played his college baseball at Franklin Pierce and spent the past seven years as an assistant coach at Burlington.
