Noteworthy date
It’s probably coincidental, but on March 5, 1770 the Boston Massacre occurred at the Boston Customs House, the event that started independence from the British Empire. As everyone goes into the ballot box 254 years later for the presidential primary elections on March 5, 2024, our forefathers could see it was all worth it .
It’s the right of citizens of the United States to vote, no excuses, just do it.

Simple math
The answer to this math question is very simple (“Cuts come as state revenue projections drop,” 1/9/24). Money is going to illegal immigrants which raises the obvious question, why are none of those services getting cut?
It is always the same old same old when it comes to budget cuts, services for the poor, services for the elderly and services for kids that the Democrats say will keep them off the streets and out of trouble.
It is disturbingly clear what the priorities are for the struggling taxpayers who still live in Massachusetts…immigrants.

Hunter Biden
Re: “Hunter Biden’s sense of privilege wearing thin,” if one follows Hunter Biden’s spoor – flouting House subpoenas; allegations of flagrant influence peddling on several continents and transfers of millions of dollars from shell corporations to family members – one finds that the trail often leads to President Joe Biden, sometimes directly and occasionally in a more serpentine manner.
An investigation of these charges would be embarrassing for the president, especially as the billowing smoke from prior House hearings may indicate the fire of corruption, and this is an election year. Democrats and the media believe that the president has done nothing wrong, or so they say. Why then are Democrats so reluctant to have the issue examined? Are they unsure that Attorney General Merrick Garland has the president’s back as predecessor Eric Holder had for the Obama administration when a contempt of Congress judgment was filed?
