Business People: Liberty Greene to head Tiwahe’s learning efforts

Tiwahe Foundation, a Minneapolis-based organization serving the state’s Native American communities, announced the addition of Liberty Greene as learning and operations manager. Greene is an enrolled member of Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians and is also from the Upper Sioux Community and Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation.

CHS, an Inver Grove Heights-based national commodities cooperative, announced new board member Anthony Rossman, representing Region 1 (Minnesota), succeeding Perry Meyer, who retired. She has been been with the firm for over 20 years.

HealthPartners, a Bloomington-based health insurer and health care provider, announced that President and CEO Andrea Walsh has been recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare for the fourth consecutive year.

Fredrikson, Minneapolis, announced that attorney Luisa Surmak has joined as an associate in its Mergers & Acquisitions Group. … Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright announced that litigation and disputes attorneys Emily Ambrose and Andy Crowder were promoted to partner in its Minneapolis office. … Maslon, Minneapolis, announced the addition of partner Leah Kippola-Friske to the firm’s Litigation Group.

MANUFACTURING

The Toro Co., a Bloomington-based maker of lawn mowers and snow removal machines for consumers and households, announced the election of Dianne Craig to its board of directors, effective Jan. 1; Craig is president of Lincoln, the luxury vehicle division of Ford Motor Co., based in Dearborn, Mich.

MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY

Humanetics Corp., an Edina-based pharmaceutical company concentrating on countertherapies for oncology, pulmonary and COVID-19 treatments, announced the addition of Major Gen. (Ret.) Barbara R. Holcomb to its board of directors. In over 33 years of service, Holcomb served in command positions in Iraq and Kosovo and was 25th Chief, Army Nurse Corps, and Commanding General, Medical Research and Materiel Command and Fort Detrick in Frederick, Md.

Viking Electric, a Minneapolis-based electrical products distributor and services provider for business, announced the transition of Jay Paradies to vice president supply chain, from vice president operations, and the promotion of Steve Sass to vice president sales enablement; previously, Sass was director of sales operations. The company also announced the retirement of Scott Miesen, vice president marketing & materials.

Clientek, a Minneapolis-based software development firm for business, announced the promotion of Jesse LaDousa from chief operating officer to chief executive officer, succeeding Kirk Hoaglund; the company also announced the appointment of Shane Oswald as chief operating officer.

The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs announced the hires of Doug Britain as campus administrator for the Minnesota Veterans Homes – Minneapolis and Razaq (Zaq) Adedayo as director of nursing for the Minneapolis Veterans Home.
