Netflix has released the first trailer for Arcane Season 2. The 44-second trailer was shared on Friday and confirms the return of Arcane on Netflix in November 2024. Arcane is one of the most successful Netflix originals in animation. The series received four Primetime Emmy awards. It was announced during Geek Week 2023 that the much-awaited season two of this series will be released in November 2024.

Notably, the reason for this long wait was that the creators did not expect its first season to be very successful, and they only considered season two after the release of the first one. Nicolo Laurent, former CEO of Riot Games, said in a video, “The bad reason is that, honestly, we didn’t know if Season 1 was going to be a success. So, we didn’t start Season 2 until… If I had known, we would have started Season 2 way earlier.”

The recently released trailer confirmed a famous fan theory from Arcane Season 1 that Vander, the character that dies in Season 1, is Warwick, a League of Legends monster. Moreover, League of Legends appears to have noted the similarities between Vander and Warwick’s stories. Apparently, Warwick is going to be a bigger part of Arcane Season 2. This new twist is already making fans curious about the second installment of this series.
Arcane was produced by Fortiche Production, under the supervision of Riot Games. It was created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee. The executive producers are Christian Linke, Marc Merrill, Brandon Beck, Jane Chung, and Thomas Vu. The second season will have the same voice actors as season one, like Hailee Steinfeld for Vi, Ella Purnell for Jinx, and Katie Leung for Caitlyn Kiramman. There will be more additions to the storyline and voice actors, which will be announced later by Netflix.
