ALTAMO ASHKENASY
BROOKLINE
The junior finished a strong 13th to help lead the Warriors to the team win at the Meet of Champions. The Bay State Conference All-Star was fourth at the BSC Championships and 12th at the Div. 1A Championships. Ashkenasy, who also runs indoor and outdoor track, had a big day at the Twilight Invitational with a stellar fifth-place finish.

PAUL BERGERON
WESTFORD ACADEMY
The best runner in the state, Bergeron easily defended his Div. 1 Meet of Champions title. He went on to place third at the Foot Locker Northeast Regionals and finished seventh at the National meet in San Diego. Bergeron was also victorious at the Ocean State Invitational. The high honors student will attend Stanford University.

KAILAS CIATTO
BROOKLINE
The senior was a solid eighth at the Meet of Champions Div. 1 race and the Bowdoin Park Invitational. The three-time Bay State Conference All-Star sprinted home for seventh at the BSC Championships. The three-sport athlete enjoys photography in his spare time.

THOMAS CORBETT
NORWELL
The best cross country runner south of Boston, Norwell’s senior captain was the South Shore League MVP for a second consecutive year and picked up his fourth league All-Star medal. Runner-up in the Div. 3A Championships at Northfield Mountain, Corbett was fifth at the Div. 3 Meet of Champions. He was also victorious at the Franklin Park Invitational. Corbett is a member of the National Honor Society

STEPHEN GOEHRINGER
WELLESLEY
The senior was second in the Bay State Conference Championships, third in the Div. 1B Championships and placed 12th at the Div. 1 Meet of Champions. A member of the National Honor Society and a National Merit Commended Scholar, he also enjoys biking.

JACK GRAFFEO
WESTFORD ACADEMY
Part of the best 1-2 boys’ tandem in the state along with Paul Bergeron, Graffeo was third at the Ocean State Invitational and took second at the Div. 1B Champions. The junior finished third at the Div. 1 Meet of Champions and qualified for the Foot Locker Cross Country Nationals where he placed 30th overall. He enjoys swimming, biking and basketball.

ISAAC GROSS
MARBLEHEAD
The senior was the Northeastern Conference Champion and Runner of the Year. Winner of the Frank Kelley Invitational, he was also victorious at the Ocean State Invitational Small Schools race. Marblehead’s team MVP was a winner at the divisional meet before placing second at the Div. 2 Meet of Champions. He is a high honors student and won the Outstanding Writing Award.

BEN KASEN
BROOKLINE
Kasen was seventh in the Div. 1 Meet of Champions event after an eighth-place finish in the Div. 1A Championships. Third at the Bay State Invitational, he garnered a third consecutive All-Star nod in the Bay State Conference. Kasen is a member of the National Honor Society and will attend Amherst College.

CHRIS LARNARD
BC HIGH
The heart and soul of a strong Eagle team, Larnard bolted home at the Manhattan Invitational for sixth place. The Div. 1A Champion, the senior was second at the Div. 1 Meet of Champions race. He was the Catholic Conference Champion and MVP and runs three seasons. A National Merit Scholar, Larnard will attend the University of Pennsylvania.

RYAN LESLIE
BILLERICA
The senior Merrimack Valley Conference Champion and Runner of the Year captured the Div. 1C title and 15th at the Meet of Champions. The Catholic Memorial Invitational Champion was also 22nd at the Foot Locker Northeast Regional Championships. Leslie is a member of the National Honor Society and will attend Northeastern University.

PAULINO GUEVARA MATEO
CAMBRIDGE
This Falcon junior raced to a fifth-place finish in Div. 1A before placing sixth in Div. 1 at the Meet of Champions. He went on to take 19th at the Foot Locker Northeast Regional Championships at Franklin Park. He was second at the Frank Kelley Invitational and the Dual County League Championships. Mateo also enjoys playing the guitar and soccer.

ELI MERRITT
WELLESLEY
The John Hopkins University-bound senior pushed hard for a sixth-place finish in the Div. 1B Championships before taking 11th in the Div. 1 Meet of Champions. Merritt was fourth in the deep Bay State Conference Championships to garner his second consecutive All-Star selection. He is an honor roll student and member of the National Honor Society.

PABLO TEJEDOR MEYERS
BROOKLINE
Meyers was ninth in the Div. 1 Meet of Champions and 25th at the Nike Cross Country Regionals. A Bay State Conference All-Star, he also competes in the mile and 2-mile in indoor and spring track. A member of the National Honor Society, he will attend Claremont McKenna.

SEAN MOORE
DANVERS
The second-year captain was a Northeastern Conference All-Star for the second consecutive season. Moore had a big November with a seventh-place finish at the Div. 2B Championships and fourth at the Div. 2 Meet of Champions. Moore also competes on the indoor and outdoor track teams. A perennial honor roll student, he has a 3.7 GPA and will attend Merrimack College.

DEVIN MOREAU
GREATER LOWELL
Moreau picked up wins at the Frank Kelley, Bay State and Twilight Invitationals. The senior was also victorious at the Commonwealth Athletic Conference Championships and the State Vocational Championships. The Div. 3A champion placed second in the Div. 3 Meet of Champions. An honors student, he will attend UMass Lowell.

PATRICK NOONAN
LEXINGTON
The lone freshman on the team, Noonan was sixth at the Div. 1A Championships and 14th in the Div. 1 Meet of Champions. He was 20th against an elite field at the Ocean State Invitational and 23rd at the Foot Locker Northeast Regionals. Noonan is a two-time Massachusetts Middle School Champion. The honor roll student is fluent in Japanese and is studying Mandarin.

JOEY RYAN
LEXINGTON
The Middlesex League champion and MVP placed fourth at the Div. 1A Championships and 10th at the Div. 1 Meet of Champions. He was a solid fourth at the Foot Locker Northeast Regional Championships. Team captain of the cross country and indoor track teams, he took second at the Tommy Cochary Falmouth Mile last summer. Ryan enjoys skiing, drawing and hiking.

ILAN SHERMAN-KADISH
NEWTON SOUTH
The senior placed fourth in the Dual County League Championships and second at the Div. 1A Championships. At the Meet of Champions, Sherman-Kadish raced to a fifth-place finish. A four-time DCL All-Star, he was 11th at the Nike Northeast Regionals and owns the Lions’ 2-mile school record with a 9:18. He volunteers at Gateway tutoring children with disability.

JOHN WILSON
BC HIGH
The junior harrier was No. 2 on the team behind Chris Larnard and took third at the Div. 1A Championships. A week later he was fourth in the Div. 1 Meet of Champions. Wilson ran to a 21st-place finish at the Ocean State Invitational and was third at the Catholic Conference Championships and selected as an All-Star. His best race of the season just may have been at the Foot Locker Northeast Regionals where he cracked the top 15 with a 13th-place showing.
