St. Paul fire: Woman, 6 children pulled from smoky home and taken to hospital in critical condition
Firefighters pulled six children and a woman from a St. Paul home Wednesday morning and they were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The fire department was called at 1:30 a.m. about a residential house fire in the Payne-Phalen neighborhood and found a single-family home with smoke showing, said Deputy Fire Chief Tony Farina. Firefighters located seven victims inside the house on Arkwright Street near Maryland Avenue and they were transported by ambulances to Regions Hospital.
The children are believed to be under the age of 7, Farina said.
The fire and police departments are investigating. Additional information wasn’t immediately available early Wednesday.
