Afton Alps opening for season on Wednesday
The Afton Alps ski resort said it is making “snow magic” to open its ski season at 3:30 p.m Wednesday.
The Hastings facility said the last day to purchase its special Epic Pass is Dec. 3.
Afton Alps is marking its 60th anniversary, “which makes this opening even more special,” said general manager Trevor Maring.
“Snowmaking is our priority,” he said. “We will make snow at every opportunity to expand terrain this early season and aim to open the Meadows and Highlands as quickly as possible, weather and conditions permitting.”
