Thanksgiving Day Pickorama

Here we go with the annual Thanksgiving Pickorama. Instead of the normal 10 games we pick, we’ve upped the ante to try and gauge the winner of 20 contests being played on the holiday.

We enter this week on a bit of a roll having posted back-to-back eight-win weeks. Good luck to all and remember that Pickorama roots only for three things: no injuries, no controversy and no overtime.

Abington over WHITMAN-HANSON: Hard to imagine the Abington sideline without Jim Kelliher roaming it.

ANDOVER over North Andover: E.J. Perry will have his Golden Warriors ready for a good Scarlet Knights’ squad.

Boston Latin over ENGLISH/NEW MISSION: Wolfpack powers its way past the Blue and Blue.

DARTMOUTH over Fairhaven: Indians would love nothing more than to end the season with 10 wins.

Hanover over NORWELL: Hawks showed some true grit last week against Danvers.

Holliston over WESTWOOD: Panthers get the nod once again in this heated TVL rivalry.

Lynn Classical over LYNN ENGLISH: Classical’s aerial show figures to get the job done.

MANSFIELD over Foxboro: The Hornets were oh-so-close to joining Foxboro as one of 16 state championship teams.

Marshfield over DUXBURY: You always hear stories about teams sitting their regulars to prepare for a state championship, but I fully expect the Rams to go all out.

MEDFORD over Malden: Mustangs cap off one of their most successful seasons in recent years.

Melrose over WAKEFIELD: Melrose coach Tim Morris joins the 200-win club.

MILFORD over Taunton: Scarlet Hawks have a few too many weapons.

Milton over BRAINTREE: Wildcats maintain their momentum heading into the Div. 3 state championship game.

Needham over WELLESLEY: Rockets cap off a great season with a big win over their Thanksgiving Day rivals.

Newton North over BROOKLINE: Tigers have a little too much for the host Warriors.

NORTH QUINCY over Quincy: Raiders get a little payback for last year’s loss.

Plymouth South over PLYMOUTH NORTH: One last hurrah for Casious Johnson and the rest of the Panthers.

St. John’s Prep over XAVERIAN: With sole possession of the Catholic Conference title at stakes, the Eagles get it done.

Winthrop over REVERE: Hope my wife (Revere Class of 1988) isn’t reading this.

WOBURN over Winchester: The running game led by Bryan Ferreira could very well be the difference.
