Luxembourg April 2024: Volkswagen (+38.7%), BMW (+38.5%) top market back up
VW holds 14% of the Luxembourg market in April.
New car sales in Luxembourg climb 5.7% year-on-year in April to 4,414 units, meaning the year-to-date market is now down -2.4% to 16,914. This is a solid performance given April 2023 was up 25% on the year prior. The top 2 manufacturers both vastly outpace the market: Volkswagen is up 38.7% to 14% share and BMW up 38.5% to 12% of the market. Mercedes (-6.1%) underperforms at #3 whereas Skoda (+21.5%) shines. Below struggling Audi (-12.8%) and Renault (-24.6%), Volvo (+88.6%), Dacia (+48.5%), Kia (+31%) and Fiat (+19.4%) impress. Below, notice Toyota (+115.3%) and MG (+96.3%) just as BYD is up 6 spots on March to #22 with 1.1% share.
