Pakistan April 2024: Suzuki holds 57.1% share in rallying market

The Suzuki Alto holds 45.5% of the Pakistani market in April.

Sales of new assembled light vehicles in Pakistan rally up 135.6% year-on-year in April to 10,515 units, keeping in mind April 2023 was down -80% on the year prior. We remain a daunting -53% below the April 2022 result of 22,370. The year-to-date tally is now up 30.5% to 40,139. This is according to local association PAMA. Note not all manufacturers present in Pakistan are members of PAMA such as Kia, Changan and MG notably and therefore don’t appear in these statistics. Note Chery has recently stopped sharing sales data as well.

Suzuki advances 307.1% year-on-year to grab 57.1% share vs. 48.7% so far this year. Toyota (+6%) returns to 2nd place but vastly underperforms as it led the market a year ago in April 2023. Honda (+384.5%) also surges but Hyundai (-5.4%) disappoints. Sazgar Haval (+791.8%) and JAC (+3300%) shine. Model-wise, the Suzuki Alto (+483.7%) is the faraway leader again above the Toyota Corolla (+44%) and Yaris (+39.4%). The Sazgar Haval H6 (+791.8%) steps up one spot on March to #5.
