Patriots work out two free agents after Week 9 loss to Commanders
The Patriots brought a familiar face back to Gillette Stadium on Monday, working out defensive tackle Carl Davis, who was with the team from 2020 until this summer when he was released at roster cutdowns.
Free-agent defensive tackle Daviyon Nixon also worked out for the Patriots on Monday. Neither player signed immediately after the tryout.

Nixon, a 2021 fifth-round pick out of Iowa, was drafted by the Panthers and also spent time with the Seahawks.
Davis, another Iowa product, was also most recently with the Seahawks. He registered 33 tackles, two sacks, one fumble recovery, three tackles for loss and two QB hits in 36 games with seven starts with the Patriots.
