Red Sox lineup: Tanner Houck to make spring debut against Phillies

FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Red Sox will look to stay unbeaten on the spring Monday when they host the Philadelphia Phillies at JetBlue Park.

Tanner Houck is scheduled to make his first start of the spring. Red Sox manager Alex Cora said this week that Houck’s velocity is up the most of anyone at camp, and this will be his first opportunity to make a statement as he competes for one of the Red Sox last starting rotation spots.

Several big league regulars are in the lineup for the second straight day. Tyler O’Neill is leading off and playing left field, Rafael Devers is playing third, Trevor Story shortstop, Masataka Yoshida designated hitter and Rob Refsnyder center field.

Mark Contreras, who has already hit two home runs through the first weekend of games, is back in the lineup again playing right field.

Following Houck, relievers Lucas Luetge, Andrew Politi and Chase Shugart are expected to pitch for the Red Sox.
