2027 Cadillac Escalade-V 125th Anniversary Collector Series Celebrates 125 Years with 682 Horsepower and a $239,000 Price Tag
Cadillac has come a long way from building a 10-horsepower Runabout in 1903 to producing one of the most powerful and luxurious full-size SUVs on the road today. To celebrate its 125th anniversary in 2027, the iconic American luxury brand is rolling out something rather special, and it’s certainly not holding back on exclusivity or price. The 2027 Cadillac Escalade-V 125th Anniversary Collector Series is a limited-production tribute to Cadillac’s history, combining the unmistakable presence of the Escalade with distinctive styling, unique interior appointments, and plenty of supercharged V8 muscle. Only 252 examples will be produced, making this one of the rarest Escalade models Cadillac has ever offered.
According to Cadillac’s official announcement and additional reporting from Car and Driver, the special edition will be available in just two exterior colors: Midnight Stone Frost and Vibrant White Tricoat. Both finishes complement a selection of exclusive details, including forged 24-inch wheels, blue brake calipers, dark exterior badging, and carbon-fiber accents covering the grille surround, mirror caps, lower rear fascia, and engine cover. Special puddle lamps project a heritage V8 graphic onto the ground, adding another thoughtful nod to Cadillac’s performance history. Buyers will also have the opportunity to select their vehicle’s VIN and serial number, giving collectors an unusual level of personalization for a factory-built SUV.
Inside, Cadillac continues the anniversary treatment with a sophisticated Black and Sheer Gray leather interior featuring contrasting Santorini Blue stitching and matching blue seatbelts. The color isn’t simply decorative, as it references Cadillac’s V-Series performance heritage and its connection to motorsports. Additional touches include illuminated door sill plates, unique Collector Series badging, premium floor mats, and an exclusive blue key fob. It’s a tasteful collection of upgrades that gives the cabin a distinctive personality without dramatically changing the already luxurious Escalade interior.
Fortunately, Cadillac hasn’t forgotten what makes the Escalade-V such an entertaining machine in the first place. Under the hood remains the familiar supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine producing an impressive 682 horsepower and 653 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The powertrain carries over unchanged, but that’s hardly a disappointment. As Car and Driver demonstrated in its previous testing, the Escalade-V can rocket from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds, an extraordinary achievement for a massive three-row luxury SUV. Better still, it delivers the kind of thunderous V8 soundtrack that’s becoming increasingly rare in today’s automotive market.
Exclusivity certainly comes at a price. The 2027 Escalade-V 125th Anniversary Collector Series starts at approximately $239,000, including destination charges but excluding taxes and dealer fees. That’s a substantial premium over an already expensive standard Escalade-V, although collectors are clearly paying for much more than additional carbon fiber and special badging. The limited run of 252 vehicles will be offered exclusively in the United States and Canada, with U.S. ordering already underway. Considering how desirable certain limited-production Cadillac V-Series models have become, we suspect this special Escalade will attract plenty of attention from dedicated collectors.
We think Cadillac has chosen an interesting way to celebrate such a significant milestone. While some anniversary editions are little more than special paint colors and commemorative badges, the Escalade-V Collector Series brings together the brand’s luxury heritage, performance ambitions, and unmistakable American character. Sure, $239,000 is an enormous amount of money for an SUV, particularly one that doesn’t offer any additional horsepower over the standard model. However, there’s something appealing about Cadillac celebrating 125 years with a supercharged V8 rather than simply introducing another electrified concept. For enthusiasts who appreciate traditional American performance wrapped in modern luxury, this limited-edition Escalade-V serves as a fitting reminder of how far Cadillac has come and why its V-Series vehicles remain something special.
