Massachusetts man accused of driving drunk with two small kids in the backseat

A 42-year-old man is accused of driving drunk while two small children were in rear-facing car seats in the back.

Worcester man Honorio Lisboa Jr. was arrested on drunken driving and child endangerment charges.

Southboro Police stopped a vehicle with a defective headlight at the intersection of Marlboro and Sears roads at around 6:55 p.m. on Saturday.

Officers reportedly detected a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the driver, later identified as Lisboa. He had three passengers — an adult female in the passenger seat and two small children in rear-facing car seats in the backseat.

He did not possess a valid driver’s license, according to police. He provided police with a name and a social security number, but police determined through RMV records that the information was for a different person.

Police reported that Lisboa had glassy eyes and slurred speech, and officers determined that he had been operating under the influence.

He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Southboro Police Department for booking.

Police during an inventory search of the vehicle allegedly found three empty nip bottles (one Smirnoff, two Fireball), two opened Fireball nips, and three sealed Heineken bottles.

Lisboa provided his real name and birthdate during booking, police said. That revealed an outstanding warrant out of Polk County, Florida.
