Boys basketball

Jack Casey had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds while Connor Smith led with 15 points as Melrose (11-8) took down Wakefield 52-45 in Middlesex League action. … Jabari Williams scored 17 points as Arlington (16-5) defeated Winchester 63-55.

In the Mayflower Athletic Conference, Ben Stapleton led with 21 points while Jag Garces added 20 as West Bridgewater topped Holbrook 82-76.

In a Commonwealth Athletic Conference contest, Liam Powers’ 16 point performance powered Mystic Valley to a 54-29 victory over Nashoba Tech.
