PESHAWAR, Pakistán (AP) — Un sismo de magnitud 5,8 sacudió el norte de Pakistán el lunes, causando la muerte de al menos una persona y dañando decenas de casas de adobe, informaron las autoridades.
En un comunicado, el gobierno regional de Gilgit-Baltistán indicó que el temblor causó daños principalmente en el Valle de Hunza. El sismo, que también se sintió en varios distritos del noroeste, provocó deslizamientos de tierra en Hunza y en pueblos cercanos, bloqueando varias carreteras, se indicó.
De acuerdo con el comunicado, los equipos de rescate aún recopilan información sobre víctimas y daños. El epicentro del terremoto se ubicó en Cachemira administrada por Pakistán, según el Departamento Meteorológico de Pakistán.
