Vikings kicker Will Reichard finally gets his flowers
After being snubbed during Pro Bowl selections last month, kicker Will Reichard got some redemption on Saturday morning when he was named First Team All Pro by The Associated Press.
It’s fitting considering Reichard recently wrapped up an impressive campaign for the Vikings in which he established himself as arguably the best player in the NFL at his position. He finished 33 of 35 on field goal attempts, with his only misses coming from beyond 50 yards, and a perfect 31 of 31 on extra point attempts.
In the process, Reichard became the only kicker in the NFL this season to go at least 92% on a field goal attempts (minimum 30 field goal attempts) while also going 100% on extra point attempts.
In addition to Reichard, Vikings also saw veteran long snapper Andrew DePaola named Second Team All Pro, marking the first time in franchise history that a pair of specialists received All Pro honors in the same season.
This is the fourth consecutive season in which DePaola has earned All Pro honors. He is the only long snapper in NFL history to do so in four consecutive seasons. He was named First Team All Pro in 2022, Second Team All Pro in 2023, and First Team All Pro in 2024.
