The history of Black Friday dates back decades to Philly police who dreaded the day after Thanksgiving because Army-Navy football fans would swarm the shops ahead of the big football game the next day. So, no police officers could get the day off to rest after eating so much turkey. Hence, the term. Now it’s all about the deals.
