DUBÁI, Emiratos Árabes Unidos (AP) — Un petrolero que navegaba por el estrecho de Ormuz cambió repentinamente de rumbo hacia aguas territoriales de Irán el viernes, y el ejército de Reino Unido indicó que una posible “actividad estatal” podría haberle afectado.
La advertencia de la Agencia de Operaciones de Comercio Marítimo (UKMTO, por sus siglas en inglés), que depende del ejército británico, se produce luego de que una empresa de seguridad privada reportó que pequeñas embarcaciones habían interceptado el petrolero antes.
Irán no ha reconocido el incidente, que ocurrió frente a la costa de Emiratos Árabes Unidos. En el pasado, Teherán incautó embarcaciones en medio de tensiones con Occidente.
