Patriots’ offense gets bad news on final practice before Falcons game

FOXBORO — It’s looking highly unlikely that running back Rhamondre Stevenson will be available for the Patriots on Sunday against the Falcons.

Stevenson missed the entire week of practice with a toe injury. Head coach Mike Vrabel will announce the week’s injury report around 1 p.m.

The Patriots have two other running backs on the 53-man roster in rookie TreVeyon Henderson and Terrell Jennings, who was just signed off the practice squad Wednesday.

The team signed three new running backs to the practice squad this week in veterans D’Ernest Johnson and Jonathan Ward, and rookie Rushawn Baker. It seems likely that Johnson or Ward will be elevated from the practice squad to serve as depth Sunday against Atlanta.

Johnson has nearly 1,000 career rushing yards. Ward played under Vrabel with the Titans in 2022 and 2023.
