Water-themed circus coming to Maplewood Mall on Halloween weekend
A water-themed circus featuring acrobatics, juggling and clowns – all set against a backdrop of choreographed water displays shooting from the stage – is coming to Maplewood.
Cirque Italia, which bills itself as the largest traveling water circus in the United States and Canada, is performing at Maplewood Mall from Friday, Oct. 31, to Monday, Nov. 3. The show is called “Water Circus Silver.”
Tickets can be purchased on their website or at the door before the show.
Ticket prices range from $15 to $60 for children ages 2 to 12 and $30 to $65 for adults, depending on the seating section.
The show’s duration is two hours with a 20 minute intermission.
Audience members are invited to take pictures of the animatronics on stage during the intermission, said Erik Razzore, a spokesperson for the show.
This is a chance to see a high level circus without having to go to Las Vegas or Dubai, Razzore said.
The circus, which features no animals, began in 2012. The stage holds 35,000 gallons of water.
“Water Circus Silver” showtimes are Friday, Oct. 31, at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 1, at 1:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, Nov. 2, at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.; and Monday, Nov. 3, at 7:30 p.m. at Maplewood Mall, 3001 White Bear Ave.
