Boston Police Blotter: Police seek woman who assaulted Back Bay CVS guard

Boston police are seeking a woman they say physically assaulted a security guard as she shoplifted from the Back Bay CVS store.

Police got a call a little after 5 p.m. Thursday reporting an assault and battery in progress at the CVS at 587 Boylston St. in Back Bay. When they arrived, the suspect was gone but officers were told what happened: A woman, who police describe as black and in her 30s, entered the store, took some merchandise and physically assaulted a security guard before exiting.
