No. 7 Minnesota 6, Michigan Tech 3: Brodie Ziemer scored two for Minnesota, which kicked off its 2025-26 campaign with a home victory. The Gophers also received goals from Tate Pritchard, Brody Lamb, Erik Pahlsson and Beckett Hendrickson. Nathan Airey made 25 saves in net.
Gophers women’s hockey
No. 3 Minnesota 5, No. 13 Boston 0: Hannah Clark stopped 24 shots as the Gophers shut out a ranked foe on the road. Abbey Murphy scored twice for the U, while Madison Kaiser, Anabella Fanale and Nelli Laitinen also found the back of the net.
