Douglas missed the team’s last two games with the concussion, his second of the season. Douglas still leads the Patriots with 410 receiving yards. The 23-year-old trails only running back Rhamondre Stevenson and injured receiver Kendrick Bourne in total catches with 36.
Stevenson (ankle) and practice-squad defensive tackle Trysten Hill were the only player absences Wednesday. Backup offensive tackle Tyrone Wheatley Jr. practiced for the first time since mid-October, when he was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury. Wednesday’s practice was the Patriots’ first since last Thursday’s 21-18 win at Pittsburgh.
The Pats are currently preparing for their penultimate home game of the season, which is set for Sunday at 1 p.m. versus Kansas City. The Patriots will release their first injury report of the week Wednesday evening.
