Israel November 2023: Market falls -41.4%

Hyundai sales are up 68.7% in a devastated market.

According to our local partner cartube.co.il, the Israeli new car market dives -41.4% year-on-year in November to just 12,902 units as the country is engulfed in war. The year-to-date tally remains in positive for now at 265,285, up 3.3%. Toyota (-6.3%) threepeats at #1 with a flamboyant 19.3% share while YTD leader Hyundai (+68.7%) completely ignores the surrounding gloom on a particularly low year-ago volume. It indeed only musters a 12.2% market share vs. 15.7% so far this year. Kia (-52.5%) tumbles down at #3. Skoda (-0.5%) resists extremely well at #4 while Tesla (-67.3%) is back up 15 spots on October to #5 but implodes year-on-year. BYD (-73.1%) and Suzuki (-42.6%) fall faster than the market below with Mitsubishi (-32.9%) the only remaining Top 10 member to resist better. Newcomer Chery (+181.7%) celebrates one year in market at #11.

Previous month: Israel October 2023: Toyota repeats at #1 in war-affected market (-28.5%)
