Gophers set record with six invitations to NFL scouting combine
The Gophers set a new program best with six football players invited to the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis from Feb. 27 to March 2.
The players are offensive tackle Aireontae Ersery, quarterback Max Brosmer, receiver Daniel Jackson, linebacker Cody Lindenberg, defensive end Jah Joyner and cornerback Justin Walley. This does not include kicker Dragan Kesich, who is expected to be in the specialist showcase in Indiana a few days before the combine.
The U had five players asked to come to the annual combine in 2001 and ’02.
Minnesota is one of 18 schools with six or more players invited, and the U ranks fifth among Big Ten programs: national champion Ohio State (15), Oregon (12), Michigan (nine) and Iowa (seven).
