* Orono Middle School will hold a sale of LEGO Education Sets from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the Sixth Grade Up House.
The sets, used in sixth-grade science classes, cannot be purchased in stores and will be sold at greatly-reduced prices.
LEGO Education Sets feature award-winning software and standards-based activity packs that integrate math, science and technology into engaging hands-on projects.
Complete sets – including a working Macintosh computer, the necessary cables, software and LEGOs – will start selling at $125 on a first-come, first-served basis.
Middle school students will conduct the sale and help customers to their cars with purchases. Proceeds will be used to purchase the newest version of LEGO Education Sets.

* Members of the Hopkins School District community are invited to a public bon voyage and thank you for Alice Smith Elementary School Principal Kurt Nordness from 6:30-9 p.m. on the playground at Alice Smith Elementary School, 801 Minnetonka Mills Road. A program is planned for 7 p.m.
