Open enrollment closed for some programs
Several special education programs offered by Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 are near capacity and the School Board approved closing open enrollment to them for the 2007-08 school year.
Each of the programs has a state-regulated limit as to student-teacher ratios that, if exceeded, will put the district out of compliance.
The following programs are affected: Autism Spectrum Disorders, grades K-12; Emotional Behavior Disorders Setting 3, grades K-12; Development Cognitive Disabilities, grades K-12; Early Childhood Special Education, birth to age 5; Neurobiological Disorders, grades 9-12; Vale Education Center, grades K-12; and Burnsville-Eagan-Savage Transition (BEST).
